Really lovely abaya — elegant, modest, and exactly as described. The quality feels premium, the fit is comfortable, and it looks even nicer in person. I’m very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend it.

The home of the finest Omani frankincense and frankincense based products.
The story of Faseel begins with our Founder’s first trip to Oman in 2022/2023. In Oman, we found an Arabian jewel untouched and unique in that it has successfully preserved its Arabian culture, identity and heritage. We found Oman to be authentic, rich in culture and heritage and above all, overwhelmed by the pure kindness of the Omani people.
And of course, we discovered frankincense for ourselves!
Frankincense has been part of the story of mankind for thousands of years. It is a rich resin which oozes out of the frankincense tree (Boswellia Sacra) and has been used by cultures all over the world for aromatherapy as well as medicinal purposes. This is the fabled frankincense of antiquity, treasured by those who understand its spirituality, and which has so many healing, therapeutic and aromatherapeutic benefits. It is the gift also referred to as “liquid gold” and is still used by the major religions of the world as part of ceremonies and rites to invoke a higher connection with the Creator and a feeling of blissed out spirituality.
Walking around Oman; its forts; souqs; wadis and mountains, it is hard to escape the scent of frankincense resin. This wondrous aromatic is truly ingrained within the psyche of Oman and its people. It is burnt on coal almost everywhere you go and used for medicinal purposes. In short, it is as ubiquitous in Oman as a cup of tea in England!
So, when we started burning it at home in the UK, we quickly saw that burning on coal would not be the optimum way to enjoy it in the cold, regulation-heavy climate of England. So we started experimenting at home. At first, we tried to use coal in different ways but anyone who frequently fragrances their home using coal will know that it won’t be long before your smoke alarm chimes in!
Naturally, our Founder, Siddique, started applying the principles of burning Oud chips at low temperature (he will say Oud is his first love!) to frankincense resin and quickly found that the scent was phenomenal but without the stress of smoke clouding everything. Whilst he continued his experiments during the nightly prayers in the Muslim holy month of Ramadhan (whether his friends like it or not!), Ikrama perfected the art of burning the resin using tea light burners and came up with the idea of making candles with the Organic Essential Oil. Thus, a very English solution to an Omani problem was realised, and the product range you have before you today is the direct result of all of this tinkering.
At Faseel, we only use the best Hojari frankincense harvested by hand from the region of Dhofar in Oman. Our frankincense resin and products will transport you to the forgotten Land of Frankincense where frankincense resin of the highest order gives you the truly authentic and therapeutic experience with a distinctly rich Omani heritage. Our Hojari resin is hand chiselled from frankincense trees whose roots have drunk deeply from the water sources in Hojar and lived in the moist, misty and mountainous conditions of Salalah.
We are also able to bring to you our Organic Frankincense Essential Oil. This is a 100% hydro-distillation, extracted directly from the Hojari resin with no additives, chemicals or anything which may detract from its purity. All our resin is sustainably and ethically sourced, trackable to the Bedouin families who have been harvesting frankincense for generations and who still do so to this day.
And finally, with the pristine Organic Frankincense Essential Oil, we have developed our range of luxury aromatherapy candles featuring the oil as the base note, working in harmony with other aromatic essential oils such as rose, lavender and sandalwood. No other frankincense candle on the market (to our knowledge) features such an intense percentage of Organic Frankincense Essential Oil, giving our candles, the most uniquely purifying scent profile in the luxury aromatherapy candle market today.
We love Oman and we love the Omani people. For Omanis, frankincense is a symbol of life or rather it is life itself. They do not see it as a mere tree but an embodiment of their culture, their history, sociology and geography.
We want you to share our journey into the clarifyingly beautiful world of frankincense. So, whether you’re heating up some Hojari burning resin; some Organic Frankincense Essential Oil on one of our custom resin burners or diffusers; or just lighting up one of our ethical soy wax candles, hand poured in small batches by our artisanal chandler in Yorkshire, England, journey with us into the land of frankincense and understand why for centuries, frankincense has been known as the ‘true incense’.
